No AI was consciously used in the creation of this website.
I do not use LLM AI in any part of my practice. Every word of text that is on this site, I wrote. Every graphic, I made. Every photograph, I or someone I know took. I take pride in my work and joy in the process of creativity, and I urge all my colleagues to do the same.
Furthermore, in every tool that I utilize in my teaching work, I have removed AI and/or tracking features. I built this website myself using WordPress and aligning with IndieWeb principles. I host lesson resources and notes on Cryptpad. My email provider is Fastmail, and my phone provider is JMP.chat. Lessons themselves take place on Jitsi Meet.
While I have accounts on large social media sites for the purpose of visibility, I do not actively use them. I concentrate my actual social media presence on Mastodon, Bluesky, and Peertube, and keep my community posted using Buttondown newsletters.
I have written this in relatively neutral terms, but Anthony Moser’s delectable ode to being an AI hater sums up my concerns and resultant position well.
